Salary Range $80-100 per hour- DOE
Requirements to apply:
Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of California.
Board certification as an NP or PA in a relevant specialty (e.g., family medicine or internal medicine).
Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
Proficiency in telemedicine platforms and technology.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience working in a primary care or urgent care setting preferred.
Willingness to commit to a locum tenens assignment for a specified period.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team on a locum tenens basis in Huntington Park, CA.
Job Overview
As a Locum Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be integral to delivering comprehensive healthcare services via telemedicine platforms, prioritizing accessibility and quality care. Your role will also entail one day per week of in-office presence, conducting face-to-face consultations and offering support to our medical team.
Responsibilities include conducting virtual consultations to assess patients’ needs, providing medical advice, and devising treatment plans. You will review patient medical histories, symptoms, and test results to accurately diagnose conditions. Collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals ensures coordinated patient care, while patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention is paramount. Maintaining meticulous medical records and delivering in-person consultations weekly in the office are also key tasks. Participation in team meetings and ongoing education activities will keep you informed of healthcare advancements. Adherence to legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality, is imperative in all aspects of care delivery.
