Job Description

A well-established cancer treatment center in eastern West Virginia has an opening for a board-certified Radiation Oncologist to provide vacation coverage.

This locum opening will provide support for on-treatment patients, new consults, follow-ups, and treatment planning in an outpatient setting.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., specific dates
  • Volume: 25-30 patients per day
  • Setting: Outpatient
  • Patient Load: Weekly follow-ups for on-treatment patients, 1-2 new consults daily, 2-4 follow-ups per day, and participation in treatment planning
  • Case Types: Primarily Radiation Oncology with 1-3 SBRTs on treatment (no HDR procedures)
  • Support Staff: 1 other MD, 1 RN, 1 MA
  • EMR: Aria for treatment system; Epic for consults and return visits
  • Varian 2100 IX Linac, Elekta HDR, and CT Sim available on-site
  • WV or IMLC license accepted
  • Closest airport: 1-hour drive
  • Paid travel, lodging, & expenses
