Psych Nurse Practitioner (NP) Needed – Locum Tenens
Job Description
- Work Dates Needed: Start beginning Feb 2025. Every other week in a 7 on 7 off schedule
- Preferred Schedule: 7 on 7 off schedule; Night shift (6p-6a)
- Worksite Setting: Inpatient; Emergency Dept
- Support Staff: Nurses and MAs, 2 Physicians
- Scope of Work: Provider will be performing initial psychiatric evaluations and assessing for admission for inpatient services or recommending other disposition to the community. May also be performing re-assessments for patients in the ED. They will also be performing telehealth evaluations for the Central Receiving Facility as needed and answering calls that may come in for sister facility. The calls may be for admission orders or ETO orders. The provider will be primarily assessing patients coming in on both a voluntary and involuntary status so will need knowledge of the Baker Act process. Will see 7-8 patients however may be more or less.
- Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: FL license, DEA, BLS, Covid vaccine, and at least 2 years of experience.
- EMR: Cerner
- Pay Rate: $115/hr + travel expenses.
