Exciting opportunity for a skilled Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to join our client's hospital in Virginia for a locum tenens position starting in early August. This 80-day assignment offers full-time coverage and has the potential for extension. You'll work 8-10 hour shifts Monday through Friday, starting at 6am. Responsibilities include assisting with open heart surgeries, performing endovascular vein harvesting (EVH), and collaborating with physicians on rounds and post-op documentation. On-call duties involve 1-2 days per week after scheduled shifts and 1-2 weekends per month, focusing solely on OR work. With approximately 10 open heart surgeries monthly, this role promises a dynamic and rewarding experience. Familiarity with Epic EMR is beneficial.
