Specialty: Emergency Medicine – Pediatric Focus
Start Date: February 2025
Schedule: Shift Times: 9a-6p, 6p-2a
Program Details:

Annual Patient Volume:

Total ED: 52,000
Pediatric ED: 11,000 (approximately 31 patients/day)

Patients per Hour: Currently 1.3; estimated 1.6 with the new schedule
ED Bed Count:

Total ED: 62 beds
Pediatric ED: 12 beds

EMR System: EPIC
ED physicians are not responsible for inpatient orders; all pediatric admissions are transferred out
Level II Trauma Center, trauma surgeon on-site 24/7

Requirements:

Board certification required (PEM preferred)
Credentialing will be expedited to meet the February 1, 2025 start date
