Job Description

  • Work Dates Needed: October 28, 2024- Ongoing
  • Preferred Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm | Call alternate weekly, start Friday at 5pm, finish next Friday 8am
  • Scope of Work: Anatomic Pathology Procedures: Surgical, GI pathology, GU pathology, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Cytology
  • Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: MI License | IMLC |  AP/CP certified 
  • EMR: Allscripts Sunrise/NovoPath
  • Cases/Procedures:  Approximately 35-50 cases read per day.
  • Grossing own specimens
  • Cut own frozen sections on Cryostat
  • Procedures: hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, blood bank
  • Need to be able to handle GI biopsies, breast biopsies and neuropathology in particular.
  • Neurosurgical cases are the most frequent frozen section requests both during the daytime and after hours on call.
  • Anatomic Pathology Procedures: Surgical, GI pathology, GU pathology, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Cytology
