Job Description
- Work Dates Needed: Immediately/Ongoing
- Preferred Schedule: 2 days in the clinic and 3 days in the OR each week
- Clinic will be Tuesday and Thursday
- OR Days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Worksite Setting:
- Clinic and Office call needed Monday – Friday (no real ER call unless the doctor wants to take it)
- Scope of Work:
- Locum is needed to work 2 days in the clinic and 3 days in the OR each week.
- Clinic days will be Tuesday and Thursday, with an expected 30 patients per day.
- OR days will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with an average of 3 to 8 surgeries
- Locum will be working with an APP in the office.
- Clinic also has a cast tech, nurse, x-ray tech, and scribe.
- New grads are welcome IF they are comfortable working as the solo provider. However, someone with experience is preferred.
- This is a high volume practice seeing a wide variety of ages from young adults (lots of athletes) to geriatric patients.
- Lots of shoulders and knees; however, the majority of hips are sent to our main campus (MRMC in Florence).
- Cheraw does roughly 50 to 60 knees per year.
- Other procedures commonly done include: minor trauma, fractures, scopes, ACLs and meniscuses (no hips, hands, foots or ankles)
- Licenses, Certifications, Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible – Orthopaedic Surgery
