Job Description

4405SG MD / DO Great Opportunity to Experience Living in Urban Alaska without Moving, Long Term Locum Assignment, Clinic Only, NO CALL.

We're looking for FIVE Physicians (MD OR DO) to provide high level primary care in an urban, state-of-the-art clinic with excellent support and access to all specialties on the same campus.

Dates: As soon as credentialing is completed (can take several weeks). These openings are for coverage while the clinic recruits for permanent providers, and expected to be for 6 months or longer. There is potential to go from locum to permanent placement if desired.

OVERVIEW:

  • Locum Tenens
  • Primary Care clinic only, 10 – 15 patients / day
  • 8am-5pm in clinic; occasional Saturday hours
  • Estimated dates Sept 30 – March 28
  • Providers required to take patient panel

COMPENSATION / Assignment:

  • Pay: $170 per hour plus $60 Per Diem every day of assignment
  • OT: $255 per hour over 40 hours / week in clinic
  • Per Diem $60 for every day of assignment
  • Holidays are paid at 1.5 times daily rate
  • Paid travel day (8 hours x $170) at the beginning and end of the assignment, 16 hours total, plus $60 Per Diem for travel days
  • Housing, vehicle, and travel expenses included and are arranged for you
  • Medical malpractice insurance provided
  • 1099 contractor position
  • Mindful and meaningful medicine serving Native Alaskan patients
  • No pets 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active License with State of Alaska
  • BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred 
  • Active DEA Registration 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in primary care medicine
  • Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture.
  • All candidates MUST have Covid vaccines and flu shot (during season)
  • All candidates MUST be able to pass background check with no domestic violence or child-related violations
