Job Description

Specialties Accepted: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM) with Emergency Medicine experience

Start Date: Upon Credentialing

Schedule: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; Wednesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Shifts: 30 shifts per month (all shift types: days, mids, nights)

Practice Setting: Emergency Department

Types of Cases: General emergency cases with moderate acuity. Level 3 trauma center designation.

# of Patients per Hour: 2.0 patients per hour

Ages: Pediatric to Adult

EMR: MedHost ED, Medictech inpatient

Requirements: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required. Board-certified Emergency Medicine (EM) preferred. Board-certified Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM) accepted with 5 years of emergency department experience. COVID vaccine or exemption required.

Other: No scribe coverage (dictation used). No admitting orders (handled by bridge placement). Temporary privileges granted with clean files and an active license. Locum coverage is needed to support core transitions and is expected to be long-term.
