I had a troubling experience with this staffing agency — one the positive side, the recruiter seemed to be a nice person with good intentions. However, I was pushed to sign a “preliminary” contract that did not include typical guarantees, and the “final” contract was not drafted even 1 month after confirming with the client. The recruiter was not transparent about communications with the client during final negotiations, which led to misunderstandings about my intended schedule. The recruiter and account manager were not familiar with my field of psychiatry, and were quite confused about what my schedule should be, which led to even more misunderstandings with the client. They also suggested that I leave the assignment after 3 months, rather than being honest with the client about my time commitment. In the end, I did not feel confident in my choice to work with them, and pulled out of the assignment before starting. I would advise any psychiatrist to be wary of working with Aya — look at alternatives, as the clients are typically contracted with other staffing agencies for the same role.
