Locumpedia is thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for the 2024 Locumpedia Providers of the Year Award.
Now in its third year, this esteemed recognition celebrates the dedication and excellence of locum tenens professionals who have profoundly impacted patient care. These providers represent the pinnacle of locum tenens work, showcasing exceptional skill, compassion, and adaptability in diverse healthcare environments.
Through this annual tradition, Locumpedia proudly joins with the locum tenens staffing community to honor the extraordinary achievements of those who thrive in the unique challenges of locum tenens roles. These professionals exemplify professionalism and selflessness, from addressing critical staffing shortages to bringing specialized expertise to underserved communities.
In 2023, the six winning providers were summarized as follows:

The 2023 Locumpedia Providers of the Year were nominated by Floyd Lee Locums, Caliber Healthcare Solutions, Wapiti Medical Staffing, ENT Surgery Solutions, Medicus Healthcare Solutions, and Interim Physicians.
How it Works
To be eligible for the 2024 Locumpedia Provider of the Year Award, physicians and APPs must meet the following five qualifying criteria:
- Practice exclusively in the United States
- Work in a generally recognized medical specialty
- Exhibit notably exceptional patient care in 2024
- Work for at least three months with the nominating agency
- Work two or more assignments with the agency
Only authorized representatives of locum tenens staffing agencies can nominate providers for the award. This includes recruiters, account managers, credentialing or accounting staff, or a leadership team member.
There is no limit to the number of providers who can be nominated. However, we recommend focusing on the quality of a nomination rather than the quantity, as only one provider can win per agency.
A maximum of 10 providers will be named 2024 Locumpedia Providers of the Year. The minimum number of winners will depend on the number of nominations submitted. Last year, six providers won out of 32 entries.
Providers will be recognized for their accolades in a profile written by and published on Locumpedia. On March 12, 2025, Locumpedia will also donate $150 to a healthcare-related organization of their choice.
Staffing firms that nominate a winning physician or APP will receive a digital badge with the agency’s logo and the provider’s name to display on their website and in marketing materials.
