Pediatric Surgery Physician (PEDS SURG) needed in Arizona
Job Description
Schedule: 24-hour call shift (7am-7am), unrestricted
Worksite: Hospital Inpatient Setting, Level 1 Trauma Center
Scope of Work:
- Perform pediatric general and specialized surgeries on inpatients and outpatients
- Patient age range: Newborns to early adolescents (20s)
- Manage both emergent and non-emergent surgical cases
- Provide solo 24-hour call coverage
- Active participation in a Level 1 trauma center
Requirements:
- Active Arizona medical license
- Active Arizona DEA license
- Will accept active IMLC (Institutional Membership in the National Matching Service)
- Board certification in Pediatric Surgery
- PALS/APLS certification (see definitions below)
- Current CV
- 3 professional references
- Case logs documenting patient encounters for the past 24 months
EMR: Cerner
Compensation:
- Preferred pay rate: $3,000 for 0–24-hour call shift (includes patient encounters)
- Holiday pay: 1.5x regular rate
