Job Description

Are you a skilled Gastroenterologist looking for an exciting opportunity to provide 24-hour coverage in Urbana, IL? Look no further! We are seeking a board-certified GI physician with an IL license, IL CSR, DEA, AHS ACLS, and at least 2 years of recent experience to join our client’s team.

  • Schedule: Monday 7 am to Monday 7 am, one week per month, in-house coverage.
  • Patient Load: Inpatient rounding on up to 40 patients with an average of 11 consults per day.
  • Procedures: Overnight and weekend procedures, averaging 10-11 procedures per weekend.
  • Duties: Inpatient rounding, endoscopy, consult service (not primary admitting), and after-hours transfer calls. Both lower and upper endoscopies for urgent needs.
  • Credentialing: Approximately 60-90 days; looking for a 4-month commitment.
