In January 2024, Staffing Industry Analysts published a healthcare staffing industry report heavily focused on locum tenens that predicted a 7% increase in the size of the temporary physician staffing market this year after 12% growth in 2023 and a whopping 27% jump in 2022. 

The SIA report contained several other key insights:
