Job Description

Coastal Virginia Locum Anesthesiologist needed.

Specialty: Anesthesiologist
Practice Setting: Hospital
Dates/Coverage Needed: ASAP – ongoing until perm is hired.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-3:30p (30 min unpaid lunch) + shared nightly & weekend call. 24/7 coverage.
EMR: EPIC
Case Mix: Mostly cardiac cases; will do general cases when they do not have cardiac cases. There is no OB, no neuro except spine, and no trauma.
Required procedures include – minor nerve blocks, general surgical cases on adults, plexus anesthesia, regional anesthesia, local infiltration, and spinal anesthesia
**MUST have at least 50 encounters in the last 12 months or demonstrated successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency or clinical fellowship within the past 12 months**
Patient Age Demographic: Adults
Average # of surgical cases per day: 65+
Support Staff: Physician must be able & willing to supervise CRNA’s
Active Virginia License Required?: Yes
Board Certified Required?: Yes
Certifications Required?: PALS & ACLS
COVID Vaccination Required?: Yes – please note at time of name clear
Travel/Lodging/Rental or Mileage: Yes – covered
